To use these enhancements,
[1] Navigate to the People>Lists to create a new List. Click New List or Select the List to edit.
Fill in the details like the Name of the List, Target Audiences, and Audience life cycle. (If you are creating a new list)
[2] Select one of the options to create a List. Click Next
[3] Click Add rule.
[1] "OR" Rule support for Lists
Previously, you could add only one block with multiple rules. Now you can add multiple OR blocks while building rules for Lists.
[1]. Click on Add OR IF condition after adding the first Rule block.
[2] Click Add rule to add rules to this block. You can add rules by selecting the variable and filling in the details.
[3] Click Save to preview the audiences.
★ Key Points
- You can add multiple OR blocks in Include.
- There is no limit on the number of OR blocks to be used in rule building while creating a list
- There must be at least one OR block in the list’s rule building.
- All Rule line items will work with AND operator between them.
[2] "NOT" Block support for Lists
You can now opt to add a block that contains Exclusion rules. Rules in this block will exclude the Audience from the Include rules (Specify your target audience).
For Example: If you want to exclude the audiences who opt-out of SMS and Email. You can use Exclude Block and use the rules like Opt-out-email is True and Opt-out-SMS is True.
Add all the Include rules.
[1] Click Add rule under Exclude Block.
[2] Add rules as needed.
[3] Click Save to preview the audiences.
★ Key Points
- You can add multiple rules to the same Exclude Block.
- There is no limit on the number of NOT/EXCLUDE blocks to be used in rule building while creating a list.
- You can add only one NOT/EXCLUDE block.
- All Rule line items will work with OR operator between them.
[3] Multiple List Inclusion and Exclusion
You can now add multiple lists to create an Audience for your Journey. With this, you can combine two or more lists of audiences into one Journey. This feature allows you to reuse the available Lists.
For example: Previously, if you had two lists (such as Candidates from two different regions) you would have to send emails to them separately. Now, if you want to email them with the same information, there is no need to create another list. You can use the lists simultaneously.
[1] Navigate to Journey Tab, and Click Create new Journey.
[2] Fill in all the details and select Create from scratch from the content options.
[3] Click Add contacts to list.
Select Pick an existing list. Click Next
[4]. You can select Add Lists to include under Lists to Include.
[5]. You can view all the lists available to add. Select by clicking on the check box before the name lists.
[6]. You can add any lists of Candidates to be excluded can be added. You can select Add Lists to include under Lists to Exclude and select the lists.
[7]. Click Save to preview the list of candidates.
[8]. On the preview page, you can view the total number of candidates from include and exclude lists. You can view the total number of audiences for this Journey.
[9]. Click Update now to refresh the List manually. Click Export list to export the Audiences as CSV file. Scroll down to preview all the members.
★ Key Points
- You can add multiple lists in Include
- You can add multiple lists in Exclude
- There is no limit to the number of lists that can be included or excluded in attaching multiple lists to a journey.
- You can add these at the time of Journey creation.
- Duplicate values from Different lists will not be copied. And it shows an Error message.
- You can manually refresh the list.
- You can not delete the list. Only changes the status from Draft to Publish and Vicaversa.
[4] Copy rules from multiple lists
This feature will allow you to Copy rules from multiple lists to create a List. This will increase the reuse of rules used in old Lists.
[1]. Navigate to Journey Tab, and Click Create new Journey.
[2]. Fill in all the details and select Create from scratch from the content options.
[3]. Click Add contacts to list.
[4]. Select Create new list. (You can also Navigate here from People>Lists>New list).Click Next
Fill in the details like the List name, and select the Copy rules from an existing list option. Click Next.
[5]. You can view all the available lists. Choose any list by clicking the check box available. Click Next.
[6]. You can preview the rules from the selected lists below.
[7]. You can edit these rules. Click Next to save it as Draft.
[8]. You can edit it before publishing it. ClickPublish.
NOTE: You can see all the selected Rules from different Lists as Single blocks. The order is to show all the Include rules and then Exclude rules. The included block order should be based on the rule first selected.

- All Rule blocks will work with OR operator between them.
- You can select multiple rules based on the filtering criteria.
- You can preview all the rules selected from different lists.
- All these rules can be shown as a single block and can be edited.
