There are two types of logic for multiple lists and workflows-
- AND block
- OR block
- NOT block
AND logic
AND logic can be used in both OR and NOT blocks.
For example, to identify contacts from North America who have a lifecycle stage of Customer, click AND before adding the second filter or trigger.
When using this AND criteria, only contacts who are North American customers will be included.
Only contacts who meet the criteria in the shaded area will be included.
OR logic
When using list filters or workflow enrollment triggers, OR logic is used to identify objects that meet at least one criterion within the set. When filtering records in a list, OR logic is automatically used between separate filter groups.
Example: Rule A OR Rule B
Rule A: Has a current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Rule B: Has a minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting.
If an audience member fulfills Rule A or Rule B, they will qualify and become part of the list.
Note: You can add a maximum of 7 OR blocks. |
NOT block
You can opt to add a block containing Exclusion rules. The rules in this block will exclude the Audience from the Include rules (specify your target audience).
For example, if you want to exclude the audiences who opt out of SMS and Email, you can use the Exclude block and rules like Opt-out-email is True and Opt-out-SMS is True.
