The Hiring Team feature allows you to define everyone who will be part of the hiring process for a specific job. Users added to the hiring team automatically gain access to that respective job. This guide helps you understand the terminology used and how to assign users within the Hiring Team section.
Key Roles within the Hiring Team
The sources describe several specific roles that can be assigned to users within the hiring team for a job:
- Creator: This is the user who originally created the requisition for the job. This field is automatically filled based on the user who created the job.
- Recruiter: This user is responsible for the actual hiring process for the requisition that was made. Only one user can be assigned as the recruiter for a job.
- Recruiter Assistant: This role consists of a set of users who are part of the hiring process, alongside the recruiter. You can add multiple users as a recruiter assistant for a job.
- Hiring Manager: This is the user who is responsible for approving a requisition once it is created. Hiring managers are typically kept informed about the status of hiring for the job. Only one user can be assigned as the hiring manager.
- Hiring Manager Assistant: This role includes a set of users who should also be kept informed regarding the progress of hiring. You can add more than one user as a hiring manager assistant.
- Hiring Collaborator: This category includes any other stakeholders who need to be kept informed about the progress in hiring. These individuals will receive updates via email. You can add multiple users as hiring collaborators for a job.
Adding Users to Various Roles
To assign users to these roles on the hiring team:
- Navigate to All Jobs > select a specific job > Details > Hiring Team.
- The Creator field is automatically filled and cannot be changed, showing the user who originally created the job.
- To add users to other roles, click on Edit or Add next to each role.
- Choose the users you want to be part of the hiring team for that role.
- After adding users to each role, it is important to click on Save.
You also have the option to notify the users when you add them to the hiring team.
