In many real-world hiring scenarios—especially during campus drives, walk-ins, or events—you may not have a candidate’s complete details or resume upfront. This feature allows you to add candidates to Sense TRM using only basic details like:
- Name
- Email or phone number
- Source or job applied for
You can complete the rest of the profile later as more information becomes available.
How to Add Candidates Without a Resume
The process for adding candidates has been updated to provide more flexibility. Follow these steps to add candidates without a resume:
- Navigate to TRM > Candidates.
- Click the Add Candidate button.
Note: The user interface has changed, and this button replaces the older Upload button. - Clicking Add Candidate presents you with three options:
- Upload: Select this option if you have the candidate's resume. Choosing this opens a drawer where you can upload the resume.
- Add Manually: This is the primary method for adding candidates when a resume is not available.
- Import via CSV: This option redirects you to the existing bulk import spreadsheet functionality.
- Select the Add Manually option. This option allows you to enter candidate details individually.
- You can add candidates by providing their Name and Email ID. The email address is mandatory. You can enter additional information, such as Location, Source, and Subsource, but these are optional.
- The Upload and Add Manually methods allow you to associate the candidate with a job upfront. If you start the candidate addition process within a specific job, the system will pre-populate your Job Name or Job ID.
- Once you have entered the minimum required information (Name and Email) and any optional details, click Save.
- Once the candidate is successfully processed, you can view the same in the parsing queue.
After you save, the candidate enters a parsing queue. The system will then create the candidate profile.
When you view the candidate's profile, you will observe that no resume is attached, as you used the manual approach without providing one. This manual method was specifically implemented to enable creating a candidate profile when a resume is not available.
