This guide outlines the process of integrating Webex with the Sense platform to enable Webex video calls as a meeting location option within scheduling templates and the "Schedule Now" function.
Prerequisites
Before beginning the connection process, ensure the following requirement is met:
- The user logging into Webex during the integration must have ‘Full Admin’ access.
Step-by-Step Integration Process
To initiate and complete the Webex connection, follow these steps within the Sense platform:
- Log in to the Sense platform.
- Navigate to Configuration.
- Select Scheduler Settings.
- Choose Conferencing Tool.
- On the Conferencing Tool page, locate the Webex option and click ‘Connect now’.
- You will be redirected to the Webex Login Page.
- Enter the email address and sign in, confirming that the user has the necessary ‘Full Admin’ access.
- Upon successful login, the system ("Sense Production") will request specific permissions necessary for the Webex integration to work.
- You must provide the necessary permissions requested. These permissions include the ability for Sense to manage, cancel, or retrieve meetings for any Webex user in your organization.
- Click Accept to allow these permissions.
The specific required permissions are detailed as follows:

Post-Integration and Usage Verification
Once the permissions are successfully granted and authentication is complete, you will be automatically redirected back to the Conferencing Tool page within the Sense platform.
The Webex connection is now active, and the conferencing option is available for scheduling purposes.
Verification of Availability
The Webex option will now appear in two primary locations for scheduling configuration:
- Template Configuration Page: When editing or creating a scheduling template (under the Scheduling section, within Meeting Details), Webex (video call) will be available as a selection under "Location". This option will be listed alongside alternatives like Google Meet (video call), Zoom (video call), and Phone Call.
- Schedule Now Option: When utilizing the "Schedule Now" feature, under the Required Details section, Webex will be available as a Meeting Location selection. It is listed along with Custom Location, Google Meet, and Zoom.
Successful integration ensures that Sense can schedule, modify, read, and delete Webex meetings as required.
