[1] Candidate Deduplication
Released Date: December 27, 2023
★ What’s New
Our chatbot now offers an enhanced duplicate check feature in your ATS. It can efficiently identify duplicate candidates based on email address, phone number, or both, ensuring the creation of a new candidate record only when no duplicates are found. This feature aims to improve data accuracy and streamline your candidate database management.
We can now check for duplicates based on -
- Email address only
When the candidate email matches that of an existing record, it will update that candidate record, or create a new candidate record in the ATS. - Phone number only
When the candidate phone number matches that of an existing record, it will update that candidate record, or will create a new candidate record in the ATS. - Email address and phone number
When both email and phone number of the candidate matches that of an existing record, then it will update the record, or will create a new candidate record in the ATS.
This configuration can be set at the agency level and will be applied across all flows (old or new).
Note: Old flows in which the required match criteria doesn’t exist can be impacted, if this deduplication configuration is changed.
▶︎ Benefits
- Enhanced Accuracy: The extended deduplication feature improves accuracy by allowing the chatbot to check for duplicate candidates not only based on email addresses but also on phone numbers or a combination of both. This ensures a more comprehensive duplicate check, minimizing the chances of overlooking potential redundancies.
- Reduced Redundancy: By incorporating phone number-based duplicate checks, the chatbot effectively reduces redundancy in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). This results in a cleaner and more streamlined candidate database, preventing the creation of duplicate records and optimizing data management.
- Comprehensive Duplicate Prevention: The ability to check for duplicates using both email and phone numbers provides a more robust approach to duplicate prevention. This comprehensive check ensures that the system creates a new candidate record only when no duplicates are found based on these multiple criteria, contributing to data consistency and system efficiency.
