The Candidate Source Performance dashboard is designed to provide insights into the performance of different candidate sources. It allows you to analyze which sources and subsources are most effective based on various recruitment metrics.
Accessing the Dashboard
You can access the CRM Source and Performance dashboard from the Analytics section by navigating to CRM > Candidate Source Performance.
Understanding Sources and Subsources
Candidates within the CRM can be sourced from various origins. The dashboard utilizes a two-tier classification system: Source and Subsource.
- Source: This represents the primary origin of a candidate. Examples include:
- Direct
- Job Portal
- Referral
- Social Media
- Third Party
- Subsource: This is a second level of information, providing more specific details within a given source. For example, within the Referral source, you can view specific subsources. For the Social Media source, sub-sources might include Instagram and Facebook.
- If a source exists but has no defined subsource, "NA" will be displayed.
Key Metrics
The dashboard presents data segmented by source, and you can view this data based on the following metrics.
- Best Performing Subsource: Displays the best performing subsource.
- Worst Performing Subsource: Identification of the worst performing subsource.
- Total Sources: Display of the total number of sources.
- Total Spend: Display of the total spend for the entire source.
Candidate Source Chart
The Candidate Source Chart visually represents the distribution of candidates based on the source through which they were added to the system.
Each segment in the chart is color-coded to represent a specific source. Clicking on a segment will take you to its corresponding subsource, as shown below.
You can filter and view this data based on the following candidate statuses:
- Candidates Added: Shows the number of candidates who have been added to the CRM, broken down by their source.
- Candidates Offered: Displays data for candidates who have received an offer, categorized by source. This metric can also be viewed at the subsource level.
- Candidates Hired: Shows data for candidates who have been hired, attributed to their source. This metric is also available at the subsource level.
- Cost per Source: Indicates the cost associated with candidates from each source. More details on how this cost is calculated and configured are provided below.
You can click on the horizontal three-dot menu to download the chart in JPEG, PNG, or PDF formats.
Filters
The dashboard offers filters to narrow down the data being viewed:
- Filter by Job Code or Job Title.
- Filter by Job Department.
- Filter by Job Location.
Applying these filters will dynamically change the data displayed on the dashboard.
Time Filter
The time filter allows you to narrow down your data by selecting a specific time range. You can choose from various preset time frames or use the Custom Time option to select specific dates from the calendar.
Source Level Data Table
The main data table provides a detailed breakdown of metrics for each source. The key columns include:

- Candidates Offered: Candidates who have been offered through this source.
- Candidates Hired: Candidates who have been hired from this source.

While you can interact with the data at the subsource level, you cannot drill down further from this view.
Key Metrics
When viewing data for a specific source at the subsource level, the dashboard displays key metrics for its subsources:
- Best Performing Subsource: Displays the best performing subsource.
- Worst Performing Subsource: Identification of the worst performing subsource.
- Total Subsource: Display of the total number of subsources.
- Total Spend: Display of the total spend for the entire subsource.

The chart displays data associated with the selected source.
Data Table
The data columns at the subsource level are the same as at the source level but show metrics specific to the selected subsource.
Cost Configuration (Settings button)
The Cost per Source data displayed on the dashboard is determined by configurations made in the Analytics settings.
To access these settings, click the Settings button. It’ll take you to Analytics Settings > Source tab. Note that this Source tab is only visible for CRM customers.
The Source tab allows for two key inputs:
- Currency: You can set the currency (e.g., USD, INR) that will be used for displaying costs across all dashboards.
- Subsource Cost: You can edit the cost data at the subsource level. The input field here is for cost per hire. For example, you can enter "$500" as the cost per hire for AngelList.
Cost Calculation: The total cost shown for a subsource or source is calculated by multiplying the cost per hire configured in the settings by the number of hires attributed to that subsource or source. For instance, a cost of 150 might appear based on the number of hires and the rate defined in the settings.
