The Matches tab displays candidates who have been automatically matched to a job based on the defined matching criteria. This screen helps recruiters review matched candidates, search within results, and take quick actions directly from the Sense Talent mobile app.
Searching Matches
At the top of the screen, the Search matches field allows you to quickly locate specific candidates within the matched results. This is especially useful when working with a large volume of matches, enabling faster access to relevant candidates.
Note: If no candidates currently match the job criteria, the Matches tab displays an empty state message: “No Matches found!” This clearly indicates that there are no matching candidates available at the moment.
Bulk Actions
The Bulk Action option allows you to perform actions on multiple matched candidates at the same time. When bulk mode is enabled, additional controls appear at the bottom of the screen, making it easier to manage candidates efficiently. You can exit bulk mode at any time using the Exit Bulk option.
A Reset Results button is provided to clear any applied search terms or filters, allowing you to refresh the results and recheck for matches.
Bulk Options
When candidates are selected in bulk mode, the Bulk Options menu becomes available. This menu provides several actions that can be applied to multiple candidates at once, including:
- Sending emails to selected candidates
- Adding candidates to another job
- Applying tags for better organization
- Downloading resumes as ZIP files
- Exporting candidate details in Excel format
These bulk capabilities help recruiters save time and streamline candidate management directly from the mobile app.
Sorting Matches
The Sort option allows recruiters to control the order in which matched candidates appear, helping prioritize the most relevant profiles at the top of the list.
Sorting by Overall Score
By default, candidates can be sorted using the Overall Score, which represents how closely a candidate matches the job based on multiple factors such as skills, education, and experience.
Sort Order
You can choose how results are ordered:
- Descending: Displays candidates with the highest overall score first (most relevant at the top).
- Ascending: Displays candidates with the lowest overall score first.
This flexibility allows recruiters to quickly focus on top matches or review lower-ranked candidates when needed.
Custom Weightage
The Custom Weightage option lets you fine-tune how the overall score is calculated.
When enabled, you can assign different weight values to:
- Skill
- Education
- Experience
By adjusting these values, you control which attributes have more influence on candidate ranking. For example, increasing the skill weight prioritizes candidates whose skills closely align with the job requirements.
If Custom Weightage is turned off, the system uses default weight values for ranking.
Applying or Resetting Sort Settings
Once sorting preferences are selected, tap Apply to reorder the matched candidates accordingly.
You can also use Reset to revert all sorting settings back to their default state.
Filtering Matches
The Filter option allows recruiters to narrow down matched candidates using specific criteria, making it easier to find candidates who meet precise requirements.
Standard Filters
You can refine matches using commonly used candidate attributes, including:
- Tags – Filter candidates based on applied tags
- Skills – Narrow results by specific skill sets
- Source – Filter candidates by their source (e.g., referrals, job boards)
- Added On – Filter candidates by the date they were added
- Experience Range – Specify minimum and maximum years of experience
- Education – Filter based on educational qualifications
- Expected Salary Range – Match candidates within a desired salary expectation
- Current Salary Range – Filter by current compensation
- Notice Period Range – Identify candidates based on availability

- Companies – Filter based on past or current employers
- Keywords – Search across candidate profiles using keywords
Date-Based Filters
Some filters allow date selection using Start Date and End Date, making it easy to narrow candidates based on timelines such as when they were added or graduated.
Talent Pool Filter
The Talent Pool option allows you to filter candidates based on whether they belong to a talent pool:
- Yes – Show only candidates in a talent pool
- No – Show candidates not associated with a talent pool
- None – Ignore talent pool status
Custom Filters
If custom fields have been configured for candidates, they appear under Custom Filter. These may include:
- Single-line text fields
- Dropdown selections (e.g., gender, level)
- Boolean fields (Yes/No)
- Numeric ranges (minimum and maximum values)
- Date ranges etc
These custom filters allow organizations to tailor candidate filtering to their specific hiring needs.
Applying or Resetting Filters
After selecting filter criteria, tap Apply to update the matched candidate list.
Use Reset to clear all applied filters and return to the full list of matches.
