The Applicants tab displays all candidates who have applied to a job and are currently progressing through the hiring pipeline. It provides recruiters with a structured, stage-based view of applicants and enables quick actions directly from the Sense Talent mobile app.
Stage-Based View
At the top of the Applicants tab, candidates are organized by hiring stages, allowing recruiters to easily track progress throughout the recruitment process. You can filter applicants using stage chips such as:
- All Stages
- Screening
- Recruiter Shortlist
- Assignment
- HM Round
- Offered
- Hired
If any custom stages have been configured for the job workflow, those stages will also appear here and can be used to filter applicants.
Selecting a stage updates the list to show only candidates who are currently in that stage.
Applicant Cards
Each applicant appears in a dedicated card that provides key information at a glance, including:
- Candidate name
- Current or most recent role
- Candidate ID
- Source, such as Job Application or Talent Pool
- Current stage
- Days in Stage, indicating how long the candidate has been in the current stage
- Overall score, displayed on the right to help compare candidates
- Rank, showing the candidate’s relative position among applicants
This layout allows recruiters to quickly assess candidate status and priority without opening individual profiles.
Candidate Actions
Each applicant card includes quick-action controls that allow recruiters to manage candidates efficiently:
- Email icon to communicate directly with the candidate
- Change Stage button to move the candidate to another stage in the hiring workflow

More Options (Three-Dot Menu)
Tapping the three-dot menu opens a More Options panel with additional actions that can be performed on the selected applicant:
- Send Email – Send an email to the candidate directly from the app
- View Resume – Open and review the candidate’s resume
- Add to Job – Add the candidate to another job
- Add Note – Add notes for internal reference
- Add Tags – Apply tags to help organize and categorize the candidate
- Remove from Job – Remove the candidate from the current job
- View Source Trail – View how and from where the candidate entered the system
- Share Resume Link – Generate and share a link to the candidate’s resume
- Find Similar Candidate – Discover other candidates with similar profiles
Reject – Mark the candidate as rejected for the job
These options provide recruiters with flexibility to take detailed actions on individual candidates without leaving the Applicants tab.
Email Icon
Each applicant card includes an Email icon that allows recruiters to quickly send an email to the candidate. Tapping this icon opens the email composer with the candidate’s contact information prefilled, enabling fast communication without navigating away from the Applicants tab.
This is useful for sending follow-ups, interview details, or quick updates to candidates at any stage of the hiring process.
Adding a Candidate
To manually add a candidate to a job:
Tap the Add Candidate icon (person with a plus sign).
- On the Add Candidate screen:
- Select Source
- Enter Source Name
- Upload Resume (supports PDF, DOC, DOCX, ZIP, EML; max size: 100MB)
