Overview
The Active Candidates setup determines which candidates AI Recruiter can use for candidate matching and sourcing activities.
If you already maintain a candidate list in Sense, you can use the Existing List option to attach that list directly to AI Recruiter instead of creating a new candidate list.
This approach allows you to quickly configure Active Candidates using an existing list that has already been built and maintained within Sense.
Before You Begin
Before using an existing candidate list, ensure that:
- A candidate list already exists in Sense.
- The list contains the candidates you want AI Recruiter to use for matching.
- The list is actively maintained and contains up-to-date candidate records.
Configure Active Candidates Using an Existing List
- Navigate to Automation > AI Recruiter.
- In the AI Recruiter setup flow, select Active Candidates.
- Choose an existing List.
The Active Candidates setup wizard opens.
Step 1: Select an Existing Candidate List
The first step is to choose the candidate list that will be used as the Active Candidates source.
- Browse the available candidate lists.
- Select the list you want to use.
- Click Select & Proceed.
The selected list will be associated with the Active Candidates configuration.
Step 2: Review Candidate List Details
After selecting a list, a preview of the candidate records is displayed.
The preview may include information such as:
- Candidate Name
- Contact Information
- Candidate Status
- Other available candidate attributes
Use this preview to verify that:
- The correct list has been selected.
- The expected candidate records are present.
- The list contains candidates that should be available for AI Recruiter matching.
Once the candidate list is reviewed, click “Start Sync” to sync the list.
Verify the Active Candidates Setup
After saving, return to the AI Recruiter setup page.
The Active Candidates section displays the selected list and its current status.
You can review:
- The attached candidate list
- Candidate counts
- Setup completion status
This allows you to confirm that the Active Candidates source has been configured successfully.
Edit the Active Candidates List
If you need to use a different candidate list:
- Open the Active Candidates setup page.
- Select a different existing list.
- Save your changes.
The newly selected list becomes the source of candidates for AI Recruiter.
What Happens Next?
Once the Active Candidates list has been configured:
- AI Recruiter can access candidates from the selected list.
- The Active Candidates setup step is marked as complete.
- The selected candidates become available for candidate matching workflows.
- You can continue with the remaining AI Recruiter setup steps.
Using an existing list is the quickest way to configure Active Candidates when a suitable candidate list already exists within Sense.
