Overview
The Test tab allows you to simulate and validate your New Application sequence before activating it. During testing, you can:
- Run the sequence against sample applicants.
- Simulate candidate conversations through an AI-powered voice call.
- Review candidate evaluation results.
- Preview communication nodes.
- Access historical tests run through the Test Log.
Testing helps ensure your sequence behaves as expected before it is activated for live candidates.
Before You Begin
Ensure that:
- Your New Application module has been configured.
- Application Lists have been added to the sequence.
- The sequence shows Ready to Activate status.
- Voice screening and communication nodes have been configured.
Access the Test Tab
- Navigate to AI Recruiter.
- Open the hiring plan you want to test.
- Select the Test tab located next to AI Flow.
The Test page displays:
- Simulation Sequence panel on the left.
- Testing Configuration area on the right.
- View Test Log option.
- Activate End to End Hiring button.
Step 1: Select the Sequence Type
Under Simulation Sequence, locate the Test for dropdown.
- Click the dropdown.
- Select New Application.
The simulation sequence will display the following testing stages:
- Add Testing Configuration
- Run Applicants
- Place Voice Call
- Run Candidate Evaluation
- Communications
Step 2: Add Testing Configuration
The first step is to provide contact information for the test.
- Enter an Email ID.
- This should be an internal or receiver email address used for testing.
- Enter a Phone Number.
- This number will be used for test voice calls, SMS, and WhatsApp communications.
- Click Run Applicants.
Once completed, the Add Testing Configuration step will be marked as complete.
Step 3: Run Applicants
When Run Applicants is selected, AI Recruiter retrieves applicants from the configured Application Lists.
During processing, a loading screen appears displaying:
Running Applicants
Fetching top 10 applicants
After processing completes:
- A list of applicants is displayed.
- Candidate details such as:
- Name
- Candidate ID
- Location
- Experience
- Applied Job
are shown.
Each applicant includes an Impersonate Call button.
Step 4: Start an Impersonated Voice Call
To simulate the candidate screening experience:
- Review the list of applicants.
- Click the Impersonate Call beside the applicant you want to test.
The system automatically:
- Selects the candidate.
- Selects the associated job.
- Moves the simulation to the Place Voice Call step.
The Simulation Sequence panel displays:
- Candidate selected
- Job selected
for the chosen applicant.
Step 5: Complete the Voice Screening Test
After clicking Impersonate Call, the system begins a simulated voice screening session.
You will see status messages such as:
Starting a Test Call
Displays while the voice interaction is being initiated.
In Progress
Displays while the voice screening conversation is running.
During this stage:
- Respond as if you are the selected candidate.
- Answer the screening questions naturally.
- Continue the conversation until the call ends.
Once completed, the Place Voice Call step is marked complete.
Step 6: Review Candidate Evaluation
After the voice call ends, AI Recruiter automatically evaluates the candidate.
The page displays:
Running Candidate Evaluation
Evaluating candidate based on voice call transcript.
The system analyzes:
- Candidate responses
- Skills and qualifications
- Job fit
- Screening outcomes
Step 7: Review Evaluation Results
After evaluation completes, a success message appears:
Evaluation is successful and report is generated for the candidate
The evaluation report includes:
Candidate Information
- Candidate Name
- Candidate ID
- Location
- Experience
Candidate Score
An overall evaluation score is displayed.
Evaluation Summary
Provides an AI-generated assessment of the candidate's suitability for the role.
Transcript
Displays the complete conversation transcript between:
- Voice AI
- Candidate
You can also click Download to download the transcript.
After reviewing the results, click Proceed to Next Step.
Step 8: Preview Communications
The Communications step allows you to review communication nodes configured within the sequence.
- Click the Select any node dropdown.
- Choose a communication node.
The communication preview is displayed on the right side.
Depending on the selected node, you may preview:
- Email templates
- SMS content
- Other communication messages
If available, click Test Send to send a test communication for validation.
View Test History
To review previous test runs:
- Click View Test Log.
The Test Log panel opens and displays:
- Test name
- Sequence type
- Test date and time
- User who executed the test
- Associated email address
You can also:
- Search for specific test runs.
- Expand View Related to see additional test details.
- Click View Report to open the evaluation report.
- Click Download to export test log data.
Restart a Test
To rerun the simulation:
- Click Restart Test at the bottom of the Simulation Sequence panel.
- Reconfigure testing details if needed.
- Run the test again.
Expected Outcome
After successfully testing the New Application sequence, you will be able to:
- Validate applicant retrieval.
- Simulate voice screening interactions.
- Review candidate evaluation reports.
- Verify communication content.
- Confirm the sequence behaves as expected before activation.
Once testing is complete and results are satisfactory, click Activate End to End Hiring to make the sequence available for live candidate processing.
