Overview
We are introducing multi-factor authentication (MFA) as an additional security measure while logging onto your account. You can now make login more secure by enabling 2FA for your organization. Once enabled, all users must go through an additional verification step while logging into Sense products.
This will require users to provide multiple forms of authentication, such as a password and a one-time code sent via SMS or Email, to access their accounts.
Why MFA?
Improved security: MFA will provide additional protection for your account and data, helping to prevent unauthorized access and fraudulent activity.
Enhanced user trust: By implementing MFA, you can demonstrate to users that you take their security seriously and are committed to protecting their accounts and data.
Compliance: In some cases, MFA may be required by regulatory standards or industry best practices, and implementing it will help us to meet those requirements.
How to set up MFA?
[1]. Navigate to Settings>Security.
NOTE: Only users with editor access to Security can set up MFA.
[2]. Click the toggle before the Set-Up the Multi Factor Authentication to enable it.
[3]. Select the type of authentication you wish to setup for users. So that users will get the OTP either through SMS or Email.
[4]. Click Setup to finish the MFA setup.
How users will experience the MFA
First time users
[1]. Click on the invitation link to signup or create an account. You will be redirected to the signup page.
[2]. Enter your full name, type the new password, and confirm the password. Click Sign up.
You can also see the strength of the password. Please follow the password guidelines to create strong passwords.
[3]. If your organization is setup MFA with SMS, you will be prompted to enter your phone number.
[4]. Select the country code and enter the phone number. Click Next.
[5]. You will receive the OTP on your mobile phone and enter the OTP to authenticate.
Suppose you didn’t receive OTP. Click Resend to get OTP.
If you want to change your phone number to receive OTP, click Reset phone number. It will email Admin to approve the request to change the number. Then you can reset your Phone number.
[6].After you enter OTP. Click Verify OTP.
[7]. Once you successfully verified your phone number, you will be redirected to the Dashboard.
Regular Users
[1]. If you have already registered, then you can sign in using your email and password.
[2]. Click Sign In after you enter your Email and Password.
[3]. You will receive an OTP for the successfully verified email and password on your mobile. Enter the OTP and click Verify OTP.
If you didn’t receive OTP, click Resend to get OTP. If you want to change your phone number to receive OTP, click Reset phone number. It will email Admin to approve the request to change the number. Then you can reset your Phone number.
[4]. After you enter OTP. Click Verify OTP.
[5]. Once you successfully verified your phone number, you will be in the Dashboard.
