Overview
The Talent Engagement ROI dashboard gives you a clear, holistic view of how Sense is contributing to your agency’s success. It shows how Sense directly influences placement, submission, and job-order activity, including the revenue impact and time saved, helping you quantify the return on your Sense investment.
The dashboard combines data across all the Sense products you use, including AI Recruiter, Voice, and Chatbot, so you can measure Sense's overall impact and value across your agency rather than evaluating each product individually.
How It Works
The ROI dashboard measures Sense-influenced activity: placements, submissions, and job orders that are Sense-driven, as well as candidate engagement, such as a chatbot conversation, a voice call, or Sense's candidate matching and screening.
Influence attribution
A placement, submission, or job order counts as Sense-influenced when it occurs within a lookback period of a qualifying event. You configure attribution separately for each of five tracked entities: Placements, Applicants, Submissions, Job Orders, and Time Saved.
For each one, you set:
- Events that always attribute: A fixed set of Sense engagement events that always count, Sense's own core activity, such as talent sourcing, candidate evaluation, interview/meeting scheduling, and chatbot conversations. You can't turn these off.
- Events you can opt into: Lower-touch communications offer communications, interview reminders, "candidate delight" messages like birthday or welcome emails. You decide per entity whether Sense should get credit for these.
- Lookback period: How many days back Sense should look for a qualifying event before crediting it. Choose a preset (Sense's earlier ROI reporting used a flat 90 days) or enter a custom number of days — agencies with faster recruiting cycles often use a shorter window.
- Attribution date: Whether the lookback is measured from the record's actual start date (for example, Placement Start Date) or from the date the record was added to your tracked list in Sense. These can differ: if a placement is entered into your ATS and synced to Sense on August 14 but its actual start date is September 1, choosing one basis over the other changes which Sense activities fall inside the lookback window.
Note: Once you save attribution conditions for an entity, that screen is locked for 90 days. A message tells you the exact date it unlocks. This keeps attribution rules stable instead of changing week to week.
Dashboard layout
Above the detail sections, a row of summary KPI tiles shows your top-line numbers: Influenced Placements, Influenced Gross Profit, Influenced Client Submissions, Influenced Job Orders, Time Saved (Hours), Avg Time to Start (Days), and Average Time to Fill (Days).
Below that, the dashboard is currently organized into three sections, each with its own charts and a detailed data table you can filter and export:
Placements
The Placements section includes time-series charts for Influenced Placements and Influenced Gross Profit, along with a data table listing every influenced placement record.
Submissions
The Submissions section includes Influenced Client Submissions charts, along with a detailed data table listing every submission record.
Jobs
The Jobs section includes an Influenced Job Orders trend chart, along with a detailed data table listing every job order record.
If a number looks off
Each metric supports a drill-down view showing exactly which events Sense is taking credit for, on which date, and through which workflow use it before assuming a number is wrong.
Export Report
You can export the interactive charts and report tables by clicking the export button. You can download charts in PNG, JPEG, PDF, or SVG format.
You can view and download the data table .csv file of the report from Configuration > Reports.
The following message appears after you export the report:
The following message appears when the report is ready:
Last Refresh
Every time the dashboard is refreshed, the most recent refresh date and time will be displayed at the top right corner of the page. This indicates when the data was last updated. If the displayed date is before you complete the setup, please allow more time and check back later.
Once refreshed, Talent Engagement ROI displays live KPI tiles, the three detail sections described above, and export/scheduling options, filterable by date range.
Edit Setup
You can edit the ROI setup at any time by clicking the Edit Setup button in the top-right corner of the page. This takes you to the Setup page, where you can review and update the configuration settings.
Notifications
You can view all your notifications in the notifications panel by clicking the bell icon.
Time filter
The time filter enables you to narrow down your data based on a specific time range. You can select from various time frames. You can use the Custom Time option to choose specific dates from the calendar.
Important Notes and Limitations
- After any setup change, allow up to a few hours for the dashboard to refresh, then check the last-refreshed timestamp.
- Attribution conditions lock for 90 days after each save, per entity.
- Only Sense-influenced activity is counted here; your agency's total placements, profit, and submissions are tracked elsewhere in your ATS or other Sense reports.
