The External Link Clicks dashboard focuses on the external links shared with recipients and tracks key metrics across journeys. The metrics measured and displayed on the dashboard help analyze the number of links sent, clicked, and opened.
The External Link Clicks dashboard is available under Analytics > Journeys > External Link Clicks as shown below:
Overview tab
The Overview tab displays the following metrics:
- Links sent: This tile displays the count of total external links sent.
- Links clicked: This tile displays the count of total external links clicked by the recipients.
- Click rate: This tile displays the percentage of links sent that were clicked at least once.
- Click-to-open rate: This tile displays the percentage of links sent via Email only that were opened and clicked at least once.
Interactive Charts and Controls
The interactive charts allow you to click on a chart and explore more data.
You can add the following filters to make the chart more detailed:

Conversion Rates: Shows the link sent and clicked (default), click rate, and click to open rate data.

Channels: Displays data from all channels (by default) or different channels like Email and SMS.

Frequency: The drop-down menu allows you to choose whether to display the data weekly (by default), monthly, or daily.
Download Charts
You can download the chart in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format from the three-dot menu.
Time filter
The time filter allows you to narrow down your data by selecting a specific time range. You can choose from various preset time frames or use the Custom Time option to select specific dates from the calendar.
Filters
You can filter the data based on the below parameters:
- Select Business Goal: Select the business goal
- Select Category: Select the category of the workflows
- Select Recipient Type: Choose between Candidate, Client Contact, and Internal Employee
- Select Lifecycle Stage: Select the lifecycle stage

Select Journey Status:
- Inactive
- Active (default)
Save Dashboard
You can save filter configurations for reuse by clicking the Save Dashboard button.
- Click the Save Dashboard button.
- Type the name of the dashboard.
- To make it a default dashboard, enable the toggle button.
- Click the Save Changes button.
All the saved dashboards can be reused and will appear as shown below. You can edit the name by clicking the edit button.
Entity
You can filter/ search for a journey by choosing the type of entity, attributes, and values. This data is filtered based on the ATS entity and its selected values. You can also save this filter by following the same steps as saving the dashboard for other filters.
For example, if you want to view the metrics for a specific status, you can apply the filters as shown below:
All Links
The All Links section displays all the unique links sent via the Journeys. The metric tiles and trend charts will show the same types of metrics as in the Overview, but their values will vary depending on the data.
You can use the Search box to search for a specific link to view its metrics.
- Links sent to
- No of people clicked
- Click rate
- Click to open rate
Here, the data table displays the following columns by default:
- Link Name: Name of the link
- Sent Time: The time when the link was sent
- Delivered Time: The time when the link was delivered
- Count of Clicks: The number of times the link was clicked
- Last Clicked Time: The last time the link was clicked.
Data Table
The data table shows all links sent through journeys. From the Search box, you can search for a specific link to view its metrics.
You can customize the columns displayed in the data table. When you revisit the page, the column selection is saved and persists.
Follow these steps to customize your view:
- Click the Edit table columns icon.
- Select the columns you want or uncheck the columns you don’t want.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Export data table
Click on the download icon to export the data table, including the selected columns. Once the report is ready to download, you can access it from the Reports section.
Sorting
The table is sorted by workflow creation date in descending order. You can modify the sorting as needed for analysis.
Specific Recipients
When you click on any of the links, it’ll take you to the All Recipients. From here, you can see the following tiles:
- Links sent
- Links clicked
- Click rate
- Click-to-open rate
Filters and Entities
An additional filter, Select Touchpoint Type, has been added to the existing filters in the Overview section.
The Entities remain the same as in the Overview section.
Data Table
The data table shows all recipients who received the links. From the Search box, you can search for a specific recipient to view their details. When clicked on, the link will take you to the People page, from where you can view the recipient information.
The All Recipient section displays the following columns by default:
- Recipient Name: Name of the recipient
- Link Name: Name of the link
- Sent Time: The time when the link was sent
- Delivered Time: The time when the link was delivered
- Count of Clicks: The number of times the link was clicked
- Last Clicked Time: The last time the link was clicked.
In the Edit table columns, an Entity Variable column has been added, allowing you to select an entity variable to display in the data table.
