What’s New in Sense — August 2026
This document summarises all customer-facing releases on the Sense platform in August 2026, organised by product.
Voice AI
AI Receptionist — New Product (Inbound Voice AI)
Released on Aug 24, 2026
Sense's first standalone, inbound-only Voice AI product, purpose-built for the front-desk/receptionist use case and built on the Agent Builder foundation.
What's new
- 24/7 inbound call handling. Each AI Receptionist gets its own dedicated inbound phone number. It identifies callers from their phone number and ATS record, classifies intent, and either resolves the request or routes it — covering use cases like placements and assignments, applications, candidate data, new candidate creation, business development, and HR/payroll questions.
- Smart routing and escalation. Calls that need a human can route to a static number or the record owner, with SMS/email fallback and voicemail if nobody's available.
- ATS data capture and job matching. The AI Receptionist automatically knows which candidate fields are required by the ATS, so agencies don't need to configure that manually. It can create new candidate records, match candidates to open jobs and text them matches, and writes a call summary back to the ATS as a note after every call.
- Automation triggers. Inbound call outcomes (for example, a job-seeker call, a reschedule request, or a payroll question) are available as events for building candidate lists and workflows off of call activity.
- Analytics. A dashboard shows calls received and resolved, call duration, transfers, candidates created, and intent breakdown, plus per-call transcripts, recordings, and routing detail.
Important to know
- Caller identification and ATS writebacks currently work for the Candidate entity only.
- AI Receptionist is a separate, standalone product — an existing Agent Builder bot can't be converted into one, and it can't be used inside Workflows (it only handles inbound calls; Workflows drive outbound automation).
- Voice configuration, FAQs, and closing behavior follow the same setup as Agent Builder.
Agent Builder
AI Agent Builder Home Page Enhancements
Released on Aug 31, 2026
We've refreshed the Agent Builder home page to keep it usable as the number of agents grows.
What's new
- Archived agents are now hidden from the home page by default, so the view stays focused on active agents. Archived agents are still reachable through the filter options.
- The page now loads agents in smaller sets (pagination) instead of loading every agent at once, which improves initial load time.
Why it matters: A cleaner, faster home page as an account's agent count grows.
Self-Serve Screening Module Configuration (Chat & Voice Agents)
Released on Aug 27, 2026
Screening module setup in Agent Builder is now fully self-serve for customer admins, for both Chat & Voice agents.
What's new
- If a required Job Title or Job Description field isn't mapped, Agent Builder now flags it clearly and provides a Configure ATS Mapping action that jumps straight to Sense Configuration → ATS Mapping (pre-filtered to the Job entity). The Screening module updates automatically once the fields are mapped — no page refresh needed.
- Field labels auto-populate from the mapped ATS field's Sense name, so you no longer need to label every field manually.
- You can add or remove additional mapped Job fields directly in Agent Builder. Job Title and Job Description are required and can't be removed.
- Every field added to the module must have a Sense field mapped before the configuration can be saved.
Entity Classification for Chat & Voice Agents
Released on Aug 21, 2026
Agent Builder can now classify both the use case and the entity an agent is built for, across Chat and Voice agents.
What's new
- For Outbound use cases (Data Enrichment and Screening), you can now build agents on any supported entity — not just Candidate or Candidate-related entities.
- This also extends to Voice Agents, which previously required a separate tool for non-Candidate entities.
- Agent Builder always asks you to confirm the detected use case and entity before finalizing an agent's scope — nothing is auto-selected without confirmation.

Data Collection Module Enhancements
Released on Aug 7, 2026
A set of usability improvements to the Data Collection module in Agent Builder.
What's new
- Questions no longer auto-save the moment you add them — they save only when you choose to, removing earlier confusion about what was and wasn't saved.
- ATS variables can now be used directly inside Data Collection questions, so questions can be personalized to the candidate.
- The configuration screen has a simpler, refreshed layout.
Workflows
Multi-Field Writeback
Released on Aug 27, 2026 · Workflows Phase 2
The field writeback step (Update Database node) can now update several fields in a single node.
What's new
- Previously, writing back three fields meant building three separate nodes. Now each field change is added as a Criteria inside one node, and you can keep adding more with + New Criteria.
- Each criteria can also carry dependent fields that update together in the same step — for example, clearing Candidate/Status while also moving Candidate/Phase and Candidate/State to new values.
Why it matters: Shorter, easier-to-maintain workflows, with related field updates grouped together instead of spread across multiple nodes.
Intelligent Variable Picker
Released Aug 25, 2026 · Phased rollout
The variable picker in Workflows is now "intelligent" when you're selecting an Entity Data Variable.
What's new
- Each field in the picker now shows its fill rate and a plain-language description, alongside the entity, ATS variable name, and top values — so you can tell which fields are actually populated before you use them.
Why it matters: Previously there was no way to know which field was genuinely synced and meaningful without cross-checking the ATS, which led to broken merges and support tickets.
Centrally Managed Brand Properties for Emails
Released on Aug 21, 2026
Brand information used across email templates can now be managed centrally instead of being updated email-by-email.
What's new
- Brand Configuration now supports agency address, company website, custom company information, a custom URL, phone number, and social links (Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook).
- These are available as Brand Add-ons blocks in the Beefree email builder — drag and drop into any template or email, and reuse the same block multiple times in one design. Unlike static text, these blocks stay connected to the brand's configuration.
- A new Brand field under email Settings lets you choose which brand an email or template uses, so the same template can be reused across multiple brands.
Important to know
- Updating a template does not change emails already built into existing workflows, active or inactive.
- Updating a brand's properties immediately propagates to every email using that brand — including ones in active and inactive workflows — for any recipient who hasn't received the email yet. Propagation can take up to 20 minutes.
- Deleting a brand falls back to the default brand's values.
Pre-Activation Checklist Improvements
Released on Aug 19, 2026
The Pre-Activation Checklist gives a clearer picture of how a workflow will behave before you turn it on.
What's new
- The trigger section now explains what the trigger does, when it will (and won't) fire, and how the trigger and the list interact.
- A new List Summary shows the current number of list members, the rules that determine who's included, and how the trigger criteria relate to that list — so it's clear who can actually enter the workflow, and when.
Radius-Based Zipcode Targeting in Path
Released on Aug 4, 2026
Path conditions now support targeting by distance instead of exact zipcode matches.
What's new
- A new is within radius of operator for the zipcode variable: enter a reference zipcode and a radius, and Path automatically includes every zipcode within that distance.
- You can review the generated zipcode list before saving, exclude specific zipcodes, or add extra ones outside the calculated radius.
- Behavior matches the radius targeting already available in List building.
Why it matters: Lets you build geographic branches in Path without manually maintaining long zipcode lists.
Platform & Data
Entity Relationship Mapping — Self-Serve Standard Relation Configuration
Released on Aug 31, 2026
A new self-serve page for mapping an agency's ATS relations to Sense standard relations, directly from Settings.
What's new
- Full relationship view: a single page lists every standard relation between an agency's entity types — showing the "from" and "to" entities, which ATS relation is currently mapped, and which standard relations are possible but still unmapped, so gaps are visible at a glance.
- Self-serve mapping: pick a valid relation from the agency's schema and map it to a standard relation in one action. Changes take effect immediately, with no deploy required.
- AI-powered recommendations: the mapping dropdown suggests a likely relation with a short explanation of why it fits. Coverage improves over time as more agencies are backfilled with the underlying field intelligence data.
Why it matters: Agencies (and CSMs) no longer need to file an engineering ticket to map or change relations, and now have full visibility into what's mapped and what isn't. This also lays the groundwork for relation-aware features in Workflows and Lists.
Field Sync Agent — Sync Smarter with Sense IQ
Released on Aug 10, 2026
A new guided, agent-driven flow in Sense IQ for setting up field syncs.
What's new
- Guided setup: the agent walks you through choosing the entity, naming the field, and defining the sync logic.
- Sample data validation: sample data is checked against the sync logic before it's applied, to confirm the expected result.
- Background processing: once a request is submitted, it's built, applied, and the entity data is resynced automatically in the background.
- Field Sync Audit page: tracks the progress of field sync requests.
Why it matters: Removes the manual, ticket-based process previously needed to set up complex or derived fields, and shortens the time to get a new field synced.
Note: This feature is currently available to a limited group of customers. Contact Sense support if you’d like to enable it for your account.

Talent Engagement ROI + ROI Checklist
Released on Aug 24, 2026
A new dashboard that attributes real recruiting outcomes — placements — back to Sense activity, so agencies can see the return Sense is driving.
What's new
- When a candidate who was sourced, screened, nurtured, or scheduled through Sense is later placed, that placement is counted as Sense-influenced. The dashboard shows exactly which events count toward attribution and how far back each one looks.
- A guided ROI Checklist walks admins through the required setup as a short checklist with live progress, which can be completed in one sitting or across multiple sessions. The dashboard stays locked until setup is complete, so no one sees a number based on incomplete configuration.
- Admins control which date the look-back period counts from and which optional touch-points are included, and can see a timeline of attribution changes plus a "last refreshed" timestamp.
- Field mappings and tracking rules can be revisited any time from the dashboard. Once attribution conditions are confirmed, they lock for 90 days so a reported number's basis can't shift underneath it.
Note: This feature is currently available to a limited group of customers. Contact Sense if you’d like to enable it for your account.
Lists
Build Lists on Engagement Data with AI Lister
Released on Aug 18, 2026
AI Lister (in the Sense IQ panel) can now build lists from engagement behavior, not just record data.
What's new
- AI Lister can now list on engagement events across email, SMS, WhatsApp, tracked links, surveys, chatbots, Voice AI (inbound and outbound), and meetings/smart scheduling — from both Journeys and Workflows. Describe the behavior in plain language (for example, "whose email bounced" or "who replied on WhatsApp") and AI Lister finds the matching event.
- You can scope a request to a specific campaign by naming a workflow ID or pasting a workflow link. If you don't specify one, or it doesn't match anything, AI Lister looks up what actually exists and asks you to pick.
- Engagement criteria and record criteria (from the EMS) can be combined in a single list — for example, "active candidates in Bangalore who were sent an email in 2025."
- Exclusions and time windows can be described in plain language ("excluding anyone who opted out of SMS," "in the last 3 months," "before 1 January 2026"), and AI Lister carries context across chained conditions.
- AI Lister only asks about what it genuinely can't determine, and only offers options that actually exist for the event and time window you described. If something can't be resolved, it explains why and offers a way forward instead of silently dropping it. Existing lists read back in plain language using real workflow, node, and bot names.
Why it matters: Makes it possible to build audiences based on how people actually engaged, not just what's stored on their record, without needing to know which workflow or node sent a given message.
CRM
Configurable Columns on the Applicants List View
Released on Aug 12, 2026
The Applicants List view in CRM now supports column selection instead of one fixed layout, so accounts that want more (or less) detail in the table can configure it.
Scheduling
Scheduler Now Available on the Sense Mobile App
Released on Aug 5, 2026
Scheduling is available on the Sense mobile app for the first time, so recruiters and interviewers can manage scheduled meetings without a desktop.
What's new
- View upcoming and past interviews in the app's Scheduling section, filter by event type (1:1, Panel, Sequential, Round Robin), search by name, and tap into any meeting for full details — title, time, location, meeting link, guest notes, and participant status.
- From an event's detail view: request a reschedule (pick a reason, confirm in two taps), cancel a meeting (with a reason and confirmation step), or bulk-select multiple meetings to cancel or reschedule at once.
- Push notifications fire when a meeting is confirmed, rescheduled, or due, and tapping one opens the event directly. Cancellation notifications are informational only. Notification timing follows whatever's configured on the meeting template.
Important to know: Sequential interviews appear as individual cards per round, and Sequential meeting coordinators get a single consolidated notification rather than one per round. The cancel/reschedule flow mirrors the web experience — same reasons, same error handling.
Mobile
Tasks and Reminders on Mobile
Released on Aug 24, 2026
- Create new tasks, including system-generated tasks that now appear in the task list.
- Edit or delete tasks.
- Add reminders to tasks.
- View tasks and reminders in the new notification panel.
Improved Business API Message Display
Released on Aug 24, 2026
Messages sent through the Business API now display correctly as automated messages in the mobile app, matching the web experience.
Improved Candidate List Loading
Released on Aug 24, 2026
Candidate lists now automatically load additional candidates as you scroll. We also fixed an issue that could cause the app to display a white screen when you manually refreshed a candidate list.
Improved Secure File Upload Links
Released on Aug 24, 2026
Secure file-upload links now open correctly based on the link type:
- Links supported by the Sense mobile app open in the app.
- Unsupported links open in the browser.
This resolves an issue where secure links could fail to open correctly for internal users with the Sense app installed.
More Accurate Messaging Analytics
Released on Aug 10, 2026
Messages sent to multiple candidates from Matches or Talent Pool are now tagged with a crm sub-origin, providing more accurate messaging analytics.
Improved Meeting and Scheduling Analytics
Released on Aug 10, 2026
Additional analytics events are now captured for Meetings and Scheduler, providing better visibility into user behavior.
