Description of new search criteria
Location (Update)
Currently, you can search for City and State based on location.
1. Added zip code as an additional option to the City and State. This could help us narrow the search to cities with massive urban sprawl.
2. Added Worksite options (Hybrid/Remote) as additional options that can be chosen in addition to a location.
3. Fields like City, State, and Zip code will accept multiple global values.
Use cases:
- Candidate resides in Burlington, WA, and is looking for any jobs available within a 35 miles radius. The search result will not pull up results from Burlington, VT.
- Candidate is looking for a Software engineering job near zip code 94104 and is open to Hybrid and Remote positions
- Candidate is looking for a Customer Service Rep role but is looking for Remote positions only
- Candidate is looking for work in any of the states they are licensed in, namely AZ, NV, CA and OR
Distance (Update)
Currently, the distance setup allows you to select from a drop-down with limited options to select from - 10, 20, 50, 100, or 200 miles.
- Now you can select distance in the “kilometers” unit as well.
- Now you can input a number instead of selecting from limited options
Worksite options
You can search for jobs using this criterion with Hybrid, Remote, or onsite options.
Use cases:
The candidate is looking for remote jobs only.
Title/Keywords
You can search for jobs with Job titles.
For example construction workers, machine operators, millwrights, assemblers
Skills
You can search for jobs using the candidate's skills and matching with job requirements.
Payrate - Minimum Pay
The pay rate is comprised of 3 elements.
- Pay rate, i.e., 25, 150000.. etc
- Pay rate period, i.e., hourly, weekly, monthly, and annual
- Pay rate currency. Example - $, £, ₹… etc
When searching by pay rate, you should take the given candidate’s desired pay rate, reduce it by 5% and look for jobs that pay more than the adjusted desired pay rate. Jobs without pay rates are also included in the search results. When minimum and maximum pay rates are available for jobs, then the candidate’s desired pay rate should be compared against the maximum pay rate of the job.
For example, if candidate Miguel Perez states his desired pay rate is $15 per hour, you should search for jobs that pay over $14.25 per hour.
Shifts
Shift Preference
We are supporting the following common shifts used.
- First Shift
- Second Shift
- Third Shift
- Days
- Nights
- Evenings
- Variable or Rotating
- Split Shift
You can select multiple shift timing values. At least one shift timing should be common between the two for a job to match.
Shift Duration
We are supporting the following shift duration as part of this project
- 8 hours
- 10 hours
- 12 hours
This criteria will be considered as a match if the shift duration matches exactly between the candidate and the job.
Shift days per week
You can search by the number of days a candidate wants to work and the number of days required by the job.
Shift days
You can search by the days the candidate would like to work on. The candidate can search by weekdays, weekends, and individual days of the week. Weekdays will be translated to Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu & Fri, while weekends should be translated to Sat & Sun. After translation, the days should be exact between the candidate’s desired shift days and the job’s shift days.
Employment Types
The type of employment offered are one of the following types:
- Full Time
- Part Time
- Contract
- Contract to Hire
- Temporary
- Internship
Both jobs and candidates can offer and want multiple employment types. Any one of the overlapping employment types should be considered a match.
For example, if a candidate is open to taking Full Time, Part Time and Contact jobs and a job offers a Contract, then the job should be considered a match and offered to the candidate.
Contract Duration - Minimum Duration
Contract duration refers to the length of the job and is a commonly used search criteria in Staffing. We support contract duration in weeks, months, and years.
The candidate’s desired contract duration should be equal to or smaller than the job’s contract duration for this search criteria to be considered a match.
Discipline
Discipline is referred to the type of work the candidate has experienced.
For example, Nursing jobs can require one of many disciplines, such as a Registered Nurse, Allied Health Professional…etc.
Specialities
Specialities refers to candidates' experience in which they are extremely good. This is another commonly used search criteria in Nursing and Healthcare at large.
For example Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics…etc.
Certification
Certification is widely used across multiple industries.
For this search, it will match all certifications required by the job. When the option is selected, the candidate should have all the certifications required by the job, but if the option is not selected, then any overlap should be considered and appropriately ranked.
